Kampa Dometic Touring AIR Drive Away Awning ( R/H Version) – For vehicles with sliding door on the Right Hand Side – Such as The VW California or Mercedes Marco Polo – or if you have a twin sliding door van.
The Touring AIR is designed to sit alongside your vehicle, providing the maximum amount of space without extending beyond your pitch. The large connecting tunnel can easily be attached to your vehicle and has a generously proportioned side door. This tunnel is capacious enough to be used for additional storage. The Touring AIR has a large front canopy, providing protection from both good and bad weather and allows the front door to be opened when it’s raining.
Once inside you’ll find a huge living space that has plenty of windows, all with zip-up blinds, and three doors, all with mosquito mesh screens.
A large four berth inner tent is supplied as standard
that can be used for sleeping or even storage if required. The R/H Touring AIR is for use with connecting tunnel in a right-hand (R/H) ie: configuration for VW California etc..

Our first drive away awning; I’m in love! I set this up by myself and it took a lot less time than I expected, and even less to pack it away. The bag is heavy tho and does take up a lot of space in the van. The awning is perfect for our crew (2 adults and 3 kids). The darkened internal sleep pod was invaluable for our napping infant. We used the other pod for storage this trip. We also purchased the ground sheet and the padded carpet. The covered awning area (without ground sheet clipped in) was perfect for our kitchen and cooler storage. There are a number of places to tie on lanterns or clothes lines in the awning. The storage pockets between the sleep pods came in very handy to store things. The connection to the van was a bit stiff initially, we used the connection set sold here, and thread it threw the awning and on our van awning rail. Overall the awning is robust and very user friendly. So very pleased we have this as it ensures the van is kept clutter free (and clean) during camping and we have loads of storage and a place for the kids to play games when it’s raining outside.
