Description
The kitchen side pillar shelf (The Briwy Shelf) is simple but very useful Perspex shelf gives extra worktop space, easily fitted within the groove on the side of the kitchen unit and then rests on top of the passenger door. Comes etched with the logo “California.”
For use with all versions of the T5 & T6 Ocean and SE – not for use with the new style kitchen on the T6.1

This is a fantastic idea, however I would also say a little overpriced for what it is. Having used it, one concern with it is the risk of breaking the passenger door lock button if someone inadvertently tries to open the door with the shelf in place, I am considering cutting a slot in the shelf to remove this risk and using a small Velcro pad as an alternative method of securing to the door

Simple but effective way of increasing working surface. Used the shelf several times now and found it safe to stand the kettle on. I admit to inadvertently opening the passenger door slightly and this did not damage the button! Expensive solution but then it will last and it is helping us adjust to living in such a small van.

Really great product but would have cost pence to produce, perhaps the manufacturer might think about the profit margin and reconsider! I do however feel more space is great, so I’ll keep it. Would have liked a cloth bag for stowing and prevent scratches etc

Brilliant. Every bit of extra space/ clever use of space is a huge bonus. Nice little touch is the “California” inscription

Good idea to get a little more valuable top space. Seems to fit fine, and is nice and stable. .
We’ve stored ours in the pocket on the back of the passenger seat. Note to the designers: If you made the radius about 10mm smaller if would fit really nicely into the door bin instead!

Agree with others here.
Neat and tidy shelf. The “California” inscription explained the cost!
I did open the passenger door but no damage done.
Store it behind the folding table.

I’ve had my eye on one of these for a while and I am very pleased – it gives much needed extra surface space especially in the winter when most of the cooking goes on inside.

I have looked at the shelf on and off for years and finally got one. It works well and the comments about the door button are right, care must be taken not to open the door with the shelf in situ.

Another useful, if expensive, shelf to provide a flat surface when cooking and using the sink.
