Having received the critically acclaimed Best Compact Family Tent award from Camping Magazine in 2019, the lightweight five berth Airedale 5.0S inflatable small family tunnel tent was always destined to become a firm family favourite and remains a key model in the Airedale range, especially designed to accommodate mid-sized camping groups seeking a base for memorable family camping adventures, or festival use. This high-spec family tent is the quintessential design for smaller families or couples craving a wealth of space, features, flexibility and protection against the elements, without a dramatic increase in pack size, weight or price. Ventilation and airflow are of key consideration in all of our family tents, which is why we have introduced a New double width Patio style side door with a zip-back Phoenix Mesh ventilation fly screen panel, helping to consistently maintain a comfortable internal temperature whilst keeping bugs out. Now with the option to add an attractive zip-on Sun Canopy the Airedale 5.0S is a fantastic, high-quality tent for couples and small families.

Inflation is swift using the Dual Action Hand Pump provided, whilst deflation is available at the push of the self-retainer button; our exclusive pressure relief valve prevents damage to the tube through expelling any excess air above around 6PSI, typically caused by overinflation or fluctuations in the ambient temperature. These tubes are designed to mirror our gothic arched architecture for enhanced water run-off. All valves are discretely concealed by a Velcro Cover for a tidier external aesthetic. Expansive tinted anti-glare windows grant a panoramic vista of the surrounding outside world and protect against any harmful UV rays, whilst increasing privacy and illuminating the internal living space during daytime hours. These are accompanied by zip-up curtains, which can be zipped fully out and rolled back, or zipped completely in for maximum privacy at night. A PE groundsheet has been sewn-in to increase convenience when pitching, whilst preventing water ingress and keeping bugs at bay. We have implemented a New double width Patio style side door with a zip-back Phoenix Mesh ventilation fly screen panel, Phoenix mesh Ventilation fly screen panels are also found in the central divider panel, and upper left hand side window to optimise air circulation whilst keeping insects out. The addition of a windowed central divider door panel greatly increases flexibility, broadening the number of available configurations, by splitting the spacious interior between a generous living area and small utility front porch; this is accompanied by zip-up curtains too and can be removed completely to further increase usable living space, should you wish to. Also added for 2021 is the option of a front Sun Canopy that zips onto the front of the tent, increasing the usable space dramatically.

The breathable five berth clip-in micro-polyester inner tent provides a luxurious sleeping area, designed to accommodate up to five average sized adults, or two large double air beds due to the enlarged extra-deep sleeping area. This is accompanied by a zipped divider, which provides the option of segmenting the five person inner tent into two separate two/three berth bedrooms. We have produced this inner tent from a darkened ‘Twilight’ micro-polyester to minimise exterior light, helping you to attain a deep, cosy, and uninterrupted sleep.

The Airedale 5.0S is packed with steel ground pegs, a double action hand pump, a repair kit, an instruction manual, storm straps and an inclusive carry bag. This model features high visibility reflective guylines to reduce the risk of tripping, Velcro attachment points to accommodate our optional LED lighting range, as well as a cable access point extending to the bedroom to power any electrical appliances. There are a variety of complementary optional extras available for purchase with this model, including a made to measure stone protection Footprint Groundsheet, Dura-tread carpet, a co-ordinating windbreak and a zip-on Sun Canopy.
