2012 T5 sliding door closure mechanism

Hi, for anyone still interested in this puzzle, I bravely removed the door card... The front and back mechanisms are indeed linked by wiring and by a strong rigid cable... Neither looks damaged, or appears to be in a position where the door clasp would cause any damage. I'm no electrician, so I think I'll try a local automotive electrician now, before I resort to main dealer rates! I still wish I could locate the fuse though!

Did you find a problem with the table holder?

No, the bracket broke off the table as the glue failed and the screws fell out. The fastening mechanism on the car is fine.

I ended up taking it to the dealer...it cost about £500 and their only explanation was a displaced rivet. I avoid main dealers as much as possible these days.
