Acoustic Glass

Maybe a daft question but how do you tell if the glass is acoustic or not, want to fit new wind deflectors as broke one of my VW stick on ones, which I have to say I was very pleased with but may look at alternatives now. Cheers.

Laminated glass in the cab windows is thicker than normal glass, drop the window down and have a look. Not all Cali's have it.

What have you orderd (in case you orderd from new) , if you have a 2nd hand ask the previous owner for detailed optionlist .
Or figure out the codes on the sticker under the seat / on the papers.
There's a list of codes you can compare with options ....i think there's a thread on those codes somewhere on the forum.

My front side windows are laminated . They have a groove down the edge . Don’t know whether toughened do shouldn’t think so . Usually you see a white line in the edge of laminated glass but it’s a groove possibly with a white line on mine .
