Advise on good quality seat covers for 2020 Ocean.

We have just bought our 2020 Ocean. Love it. We want to protect the seats (part leather, part material) but are confused as so many options. We want good quality covers for the front seats.

What experiences do members have please? What types to avoid and why? What are the best quality fitting ones? What should we expect to pay for well fitting good quality ones? Where to buy?

We never bothered with the front. We like the stock seats and thought we might as well just enjoy them rather than cover them.

The rear seat we just have the frugal black VW cover, more because we have a toddler.

Front seats we used a fabric protector and 3 years in it’s been fine.

I find covers get pricy quickly and while the temptation with a new pride and job is to cover everything like you would an iPhone the Cali seems pretty well designed to stand up to the rough stuff.

Of course there are needs where it makes a lot of sense where you may do water sports or have dogs etc but day to day, my advice is enjoy the seats.

It’s not just to prevent stains, they protect against smell as you can wash the covers to freshen up.

We’ve got the Inka ones and have had them for 2 years. They’re pretty good actually and have performed better than expected. We have a small kid so spills are inevitable, we can easily use a wet cloth to clean such things and because the cover is waterproof it’s dry quickly unlike the actual seat material which would be damp for a while

If you enjoy an outdoor lifestyle, wet wetsuits, wet dogs, wet kids etc…then Inka waterproof are the best choice by far. 100% waterproof, machine washable & dry very quickly.
Our old 12 year old van had them fitted since new, the VW seats were unmarked when we removed the covers.

Jackyards are also good but not 100% waterproof, but the upside is that your back will not get as hot as ‘Inkas’ in warmer climates. You might also need to notify your insurers if fitted, as they didn’t used to be airbag compliant but this may well have changed over recent years.

For those that have had a spill and wished they had already fitted seat covers…Autoglym ‘ INTERIOR CLEANER & SANITISER’ is also great and will get rid of most stains and has a nice smell & can also be used on the interior plastics etc so no need to be careful when applying….just spray everywhere!

They seem to be so far - only fitted the driver's seat so far but nice fabric and good tailored fit. Much better than the crappy Inka ones, which are far too slippery, especially for the bench seat.
