Surely someone knows how the control panel gets its voltage reading on a T6?Hi
I mistakenly thought the shunt for a 2017 T6 Ocean is in the same place (under the fridge) as the T5 Ocean but after taking the fridge out I realised it's not.
Where does the T6 take the voltage reading from?
Thanks in advance
Anyone worked this out yet? I still haven't!!Surely someone knows how the control panel gets its voltage reading on a T6?
I know the shunt issue was resolved after the T5 had issues but how did they change it and how does the voltage monitoring work on the T6.
Come back Loz.
As above. A Battery monitor module on the -tve pole of the battery under front passenger seat RHD. On the Ocean although it has 2 leisure batteries they are wired in parallel.Anyone worked this out yet? I still haven't!!
The panel reads the voltage directly from its power feeds.Anyone worked this out yet? I still haven't!!
I've got a T6 Ocean... and it's not there!! Believe me I've looked. I've also been under the front seat as I replaced my Split Charge relay so I'm quite familiar with the electrics and layout under there.I have a T6.1 Beach (w/only 1 leisure battery) and it’s on the negative terminal of that battery under the left seat.
The fridge voltage cut off is performed by the fridge controller mounted to the fridge and not the camper panel. The panel will show when the fridge has been disabled by the voltage, but it does not do it.I've got a T6 Ocean... and it's not there!! Believe me I've looked. I've looked everywhere - I've removed the fridge as well as I thought possibly there was a shunt similar to the T5 but there's nothing there.
The T6.1 has the monitors directly on the battery as you mention, but not on my T6.
Trying to avoid going to VW... they charge £135 an hour or something ridiculous now...
Essentially my issue is that directly monitoring the voltage on leisure batteries with an external monitor attached shows the correct voltage.
The control panel shows the voltage -300mv or .3v - so for example if I probe the leisure batteries I can see the voltage is at 12.7volts for example, but the control panel shows 12.4volts.
This is worrying as I'm away for a month soon in hot climates and I don't want to worry about my fridge turning off prematurely due to this fault.
