I'm curious to see if anyone knows if Waze works differently. I certainly never used to run out of data.

Never experienced a data issue with Waze, hardly uses any.

How much data does Waze use on Android and iOS (Waze data usage)

Waze app does not use much data per hour on Android and iOS compared to Google Maps. Here is Waze data calculator
