The New Lillypads look like they also have a waterproof roll down layer that keeps the rain out. I just have the net version which stops light rain, but heavy rain with wind can get through a little. However they worked fine at the British Grandprix three years ago in heavy rain... all weekend! Just don't sit too close to the nets in the heavy rain.
The Khyam gets used on longer holidays, where we need space and more storage onsite, especially when there are four of us.
The nets are great for short breaks, especially when it's just two of us. It creates a cosy space without shutting out the world. Being in the great outdoors is what it's all about .
