bench seat front stops

Has anyone removed the stops in the rails so that the bench can be moved further forward and if so can they be put back at a later date, i realize that it might be awkward to then position the bench in the correct position to make the bed.However i am always moving a large stage piano in a flight case which only just fits in diagonally so would prefer it straight in to keep it away from the cupboards

Yes they can be removed. They are a little tricky to get back in but once you understand how it's not too bad.

You could mark the rail inside using a marker pen.

When I removed the bench seat in my Cali I found the front stop is in the track by the cupboard. It has a large flat head screw which you can access from above through the rail. Once unlocked the stop is removed by sliding it forward and taking it out through the clip on cover in the slot.
