Beware ‘dead birds on beaches’

We are currently travelling in the Nth East of Scotland with our dog. We have encountered so many dead birds that are not being picked up that it is making for a genuine ‘health hazard’ on these beaches. Worth noting if like ours your dog is drawn to these, indeed if you have children on the beaches too.

Yes, recently saw a feature on TV regading the number of dead birds on the Farne Islands due to bird flu. Staggering numbers!
 
The dead birds have probably died of avian flu which is a health hazard to humans and dogs. They should be reported to DEFRA who will collect them but there is a massive outbreak so they are a bit behind.
