Unfortunately due to medical issues I am unable to use my Giant Defy Advanced2 road bike. Size M (bought Dec. 21). It has been ridden once for about 30 miles. Great bike cost new £2299. Open to offers if anyone interested.

Ben (8), Jack (7) and I led our first Tandem Club ride on our triplet: Locks, Docks and One Smoking Ferry.

One triplet, four tandems, one recumbent and two solos. The ride was one of closures. The Thames Barrier was closed (a very rare reverse head closure); the Woolwich Ferry was closed; the north lifts at the Woolwich Foot Tunnel were closed; National Cycle Route (NCR) 13 was closed past Excel and the Thames Path into King Edward Memorial Park was closed.

I rode solo from the bike shop towing two children’s bikes on a flatbed trailer hauled behind the triplet. 5 saddles, 8 wheels.

2.5 miles nearly all on the A20, including Cliftons Roundabout (A20 x South Circular) and a right turn across four lanes at the Dutch House pub onto Mottingham Lane.

Not my main bike, but now my new favourite! Packs into the Cali really easily. I do all my “roadie” riding indoors now on Zwift, so I sold my best road bike for the Brompton! Mad? Maybe. But I’m happy. These pictures are from today, a very cold ride around the road that circles Barra in the Outer Hebrides. Not a bad little workout with just 3 gears. Stunning scenery.

My ride

Whytes E180S.

I know it’s an e-bike, I have a naturally aspirated boardman mht8.9 also but the e-bike does add fun to the uphill mountain bike trails.

Snap. But the 160 RS. Such a comfy bike.
Looking forward to some more rides this year as didn’t do any last year due to too much work.
And bonus, back to the Cali for coffee !

Good call! I rented a Brompton for 2 months to see if it will fit into my work/travel style and it did. Just picked up a 6 speed off eBay. They are such versatile bikes.

Great bikes!

I bumped and bashed my way down the Flåm railway navvies track on my Brompton, towing two toddlers in a child trailer.

Here is my 'randonneur' bike. I have entered lots of 'brm' rides and hope to ride Paris -Brest -Paris in August. I will use my Cali as support vehicle.

New to us: Orbea Rise H30, just updated the brakes and front rotor (M4100 to SLX, and 180 to 203). It's our furst ebike and we are looking forward to ride it!
Nice, we saw the Orbea works MTB team at the world round in Finale Ligure last year. I still have a manual H30
