What Brake and Disc Pads Recommended.

Bosch auto parts are very common in German vehicles. I have used Bosch brake components before but find them almost as pricey as brembo where on a California you are definitely paying for the name, Pagid seems to offer the right performance for the right price

Anyone have the VW part no. or size for the 4x stretch bolts needed for large 340mm front disc Calipers as few kits include them. Cali 4Motion 180bitdi 2010/2011

205000km. Rear pads changed at 130000km because the inner pads were worn to the wear signal. Outer pads still over half of the life left.
Front pads still factory ones.
I already bought a complete set of pads and discs front and back: €230. TRW and ATE, like the ones from factory. The complete set is cheaper than one disc from VW, which will also be TRW or ATE, probably.

Sugar......I no longer have the invoice for that purchase...... but the last picture is right.

On Monday I purchased a full set of front (340mm) and rear (294mm) Brembo discs and pads for £254 (with discount) from CarPartsInMotion via ebay due for delivery tomorrow (Thursday). My 2010 4Motion 180 bitdi did 100k miles before I changed the front set a few years ago and the back are still fine but at that price I thought I'd buy them for a future project as prices are rising!

Hi, looking for advice ...
I just received my Brembo large 340mm front discs but the UV anti rust coating is damaged on the rear of the disc face, see pic. Is this an issue as I'd expect the coating to be removed as soon as I apply the brake pads anyway. The coating over the rest of the disc is fine and there are no scratches to the metal, just the coating.

Those are absolutely fine. Mine had similar scratches when delivered. As you say, the coating on the face will be all gone after a few miles.
I can also confirm that the stretch bolts you have are the correct part. That's the same part # I fitted when I did my front 340s .

Many Thanks @Jon A
