Just put a bungee on pop top to prevent catching in the scissor. Don’t feel I put it on overnight but someone mentioned that their canvas came away at the bottom on their pop top and could have been linked to using the bungee.perhaps. Any comments or anyone had similar issue by using the bungee?

Have a bungee on pop top for 9 years with no issues. Should not be too tight otherwise its a simple and useful tool.

I don't have one on my manual roof, but its less of an issue as there is no front scissor.
For everyone that swears by them, there are others who say its not needed.
It's one of those subjects that divides owners. But yes, if you stick with it, definitely not too tight and follow the usual instructions about having windows open on the leeward side of the van. Watch it come down from the inside to make sure everything folds inwards and if you have a passenger that can watch outside to give more confidence that might help.
