California Heater Diverter

Hi, bought new California in February and we have it difficult for us to use the night heater. Me and my wife sleep up stairs while our dog sleeps on floor. Is there any gadget that we can use that can direct the heat up the access hatch into the up stairs instead of the dog getting all the heat and over heating (she isn’t a fan of the heat).
Any advice or tips greatly received.

You can use tumble drier vent hose as per this video (I haven't watched all of this video, so sorry if any issues with it!)

I have seen basically the same thing with an expensive price tag for sale from one of the german cali accessory providers but I'm afraid I can't remember which one.

Heating upstairs

In anticipation of some winter trips, I’ve experimented installing heating in the top bed. This is the result of my efforts. I’m pleased to report that it works extremely well. Get in touch if you want the full details. Total cost: £3:99 for the card and a craft knife plus some scrap ducting.

Note that the different solutions cover different amounts of the heater outlet, so will each have a different upstairs to downstairs temperature distribution (for your dog for eg).

Alternatively swap sleeping arrangements. Dog upstairs in the cool and you downstairs in the warm.
