Chassis chip

I have managed to get this curly chip from my lower passenger side, scraping against a metal obstacle.

Is this an easy fix ?
I think I must restore the thick coating to prevent chassis rust , am I right? Is it just paint as on the bodywork panels?

I did something similar in my work Peugeot van, but a bit worse than yours. I got it Repaired professionally by a local body shop where I often do electrical works for them so they actually did the work for free (but I do owe them a job). They did a great job not too sure what they had to do as the chassis bit that was damaged is a knarled / dimpled effect which I assume is some sort of extra rust proofing maybe. Yours looks like an easy job that a smart repairer should be able to undertake.

the chassis seem to be covered in something much thicker than the paint of the regular panels.
