Clips on windscreen...

This might be a daft question....
But my new (second hand) Cali has what looks like 2 white plastic catches stick to the windscreen right behind the rear view mirror... I originally thought they were for the windscreen blind, but have quickly worked out that's wrong.

It wouldn't really bother me normally, but I appear to be the exact height to need the mirror positioned right where one catch is, so I can't see our of the back at all week when driving.

Does anyone have any clues, before I remove them and possibly regret it...

Clips for tags for autoroute?
Mine are right behind the mirror as the tags need to be in the dotted area of the screen.

I was wondering that... Wasn't sure if they were something California specific!
They'll be coming off in the morning then, I've no use for them haha!
