Condensation and dehumidifier??

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of using a dehumidifier in their California in order to tackle over night condensation?

I'm thinking about the sort of things that are reusable and can be dried out in a microwave oven.

Are that worth carrying around or not.

I have one of those for general use, wet clothes etc: Will not cope with overnight camping condensation. I just leave a window slightly, I have the front window wind deflectors. Get very little condensation with the roof due to the built in vents. I use the heater overnight during the cold season.
