Cracked EGR pipe

Just a heads up folks. I had van in for oil change at 56000 miles today. Asked them to check smell of fumes in cabin, noticed it for a few thousand miles mainly at start up or idling but wasn't sure if it was maybe the regeneration blowing back in somehow. CO detector in cab didn't pick up anything. Sure enough it was a cracked EGR pipe and garage said they'd had a few on the T6. So don't put up with any fumes in cab, it's all fine now !

Just had my egr pipe found cracked, VW agreed to replace and paid 50% labour. I thought that was fair as my bus is nearly a year out of warranty!

Not an uncommon problem on the T6. VW redesigned the replacement/upgraded EGR pipe.
