So, been having a good old look around the van this weekend and seeing what needs to be done…
We’ve several bits of trim that are damaged or missing and I wondered if firstly it exists pieces to fix/replace these? Or has anyone found and good alternatives?

Main elements are some end pieces from the ‘beige’ trim (namely fridge and rear overhead cubby) and the grey edging strip from the sink/hob top.

If there’s this trim available in strips (I did look at the iron on edging strip you can buy, but what i found was not wide enough). The beige end pieces are 24mm in width and the grey edging strip 16mm.

Do you think its possible to get these from Westfalia or any ideas? Cheers :thumb

You find the wider trims at more specialist shops or kitchen disigners.
heat up the old trim , rip it off , use sanding paper to remove the glue ( when cold ) and put new trim on or pre-glued and with iron or non-pre-glued with contact glue cut/sand the egdes

You should find some iron on edging available in short lengths on eBay. I suspect this will not be as thick as the existing edging which looks to be ABS, however you can't iron on ABS so it is much more difficult to use. You can use a hair drier to remove the old edging but it will leave some glue residue which is very difficult to remove but, as long as it is not too thick, in which case pare it away with a sharp knife, when you iron on the new edging it will re-activate the glue anyway and help to stick the new edging down. There is a bit of a knack to trimming the edging flush and it helps to have some very sharp tools but if you press a block of scrap wood against the edging as you trim it it helps to prevent it lifting off.

You could always look for a local cabinet maker who could do this for you, unfortunately I think I'm a bit too far away!

Thanks for the feedback!
If anyone might know where this trim could be sourced, would be great...
Its the grey and beige colours of the 2000my T4 Cali Coach... I had a look in the local DIY stores but either the colours are not close or are not the correct width...
I did try pinging a mail to Westfalia to see if they could point me in the direction of suppliers, but the mail got bounced back - anyone any good contact points in Westfalia for such questions or is this a dead end?

:confused::D

Tried Gunzll?

I use Ostermann who specialise in edgebanding with an enormous range, and will almost certainly have what you need; they are international so will have a branch in your country. Trouble is they are a trade supplier and probably won't deal with the public unless you wanted to buy a couple of reels!

One option, if you can't find a matching plastic edging would be to remove all the edging and replace it with a wood edging.
