I was in VW Birmingham yesterday and was told that VW head office had issued instructions to dealers not to take any further Transporter orders. She believed this extended to the California too. Apparently VW factory has too many back orders that they need to manufacture and clear.

Sounds like the California Surf Variant is going to be a very short production run then!
