Do not trust Listers VW Commercial dealership Droitwich.
Purchased a Cali 6.1 from here in January but had to wait until March for collection as it had been registered as a demo so could not be released.
After paying the deposit I asked if the could send me a spec for the vehicle as the add was not clear on details and it disappeared from the website immediately I placed the order and they sent me a list together with the brochure for the 6.1, this lists an awning as standard, forward to the 20th March the day before pickup, I call at the dealership to check details before collection the following day, during this visit the sales person informed me the van had no awning and he was only pointing this out as he had the same issue with the previous customer, stunned at this I pointed out it was standard on the ocean, he then showed me a “copy” of the add which had a check box ticked for removal of the awning, he said it was in the original add (which disappeared on purchase) and was only visible on his pc, I pointed out that according to the brochure which he provided it should be fitted and I did contact him the day after purchase for the spec of that vehicle, he had 3 months to point this out and as a result left me with no option to go elsewhere as 6.1s have gone. Final outcome after much “discussion” was the gave me the old awning from my trade in (dumped in the back of my new van) and an offer of £200 towards accessories from them for which they couldn’t provide a brochure, list or prices.
My advice to anyone is find another dealer.

Given the awning is standard. Someone at the dealer wanting a free cheap awning?
At the very least, I would have expected them to fit your old awning. (and given you the £200 offer)

standard for the vehicle to disappear from their stock advertising once deposit paid, poor that they could not fit your old awning as a gesture.

Given the cost of an awning, I would have insisted on a refund of the equivalent value, assuming of course that they cannot prove that the awning was not advertised as part of the deal.
Extremely bad customer service, and they lose your ongoing regular ‘service’ customer too I suspect.

I would always insist on a walk round video of the vehicle, with any salesman worth his salt pointing out all optional extras too. That way you can visually see what is fitted along with all options, plus condition. Then if its of interest, proceed with a visit, test drive and a check of everything else. Point out that if you proceed with the sale then everything on the vehicle is sold as seen with video evidence as back up that you had requested.
We requested a walk round video on our new T6.1 just so we could check all options ordered had been fitted before we made the journey for collection. Prior to buying new, we asked for a report on the roof and bellows from another dealer on a used Cali, to which he said it was mint. I called back and spoke to another salesman and asked for a video including the roof lifted and the canvas and seal looked like the bottom of a canal lock.

Was there no picture of the vehicle with the original advert, which would have clarified the situation.
