I came to fill up my Cali Ocean 150 dsg the other day and noticed BIO Diesel is not allowed. Not quite sure how I missed this before! Anyway, the ordinary diesel at the pump said it was 7% BIO diesel. Should I use this fuel? I didn’t and filled up with premium. Is this normal? I looked in the manual and it said that diesel complying with EN590 is fine other fuels not. Can find no ref to BIO diesels in the Handbook. Does EN590 allow BIO diesel? (Can’t find copy). Please help this rather confused Cali owner!

Bio Diesel is being added to forecourt pump fuel and cannot be avoided.
VW are referring to 100% Bio Diesel not being suitable or DON't use.

I think I use the 7% bio diesel for about 9 years and 130000km now, without issues.
It is indeed for a lot more %. I think they use it in central America, so if you are planning to go over there with your California, don't fill up there.
If you stay in Europe, just get the "normal" B7 (7% bio), and you will be fine.

Thx comments but it is confusing when VW put this sticker next to fuel filler. 7CC7356F-65A6-4B4C-97B8-9EC7F673C8A6.jpeg
