excessive wind noise whilst on the motorway

Anybody else experience a humming noise when the vehicle goes over 60mph? Could it be the bike rack vibrating? Any ideas? im sure its coming from the rear (no crap jokes please

)

Its not really loud or anything...just mildly irritating

Nothing on mine its pretty quiet but I dont have a bike rack.

OK so there are some options - we had a vibrating noise that came from a blanking plug on the windscreen wipers - see this link - cured it for us, and yes sometimes it sounded like it was coming from the back!!

Could it be the straps on your bike rack? Just like you can get a thrumming noise from some guy ropes/straps??

Do you have Dubflectors (or similar) fitted on the windows? I've noticed mine have recently started 'buzzing' at speed.

I had similiar noise and it took ages to find the cause. It turned out to be the roof wind deflector front offside where the sealant had failed and the wind getting under it. Had to have the complete deflector replaced to fix the problem.
