Hi all, looks like a great forum. Not new to VW’s as we did several festivals in my T4 day bus but after 2 years without one, I pick up my California Beach next Saturday (7th April). Still under a year old, 7 seater with just under 6,000 on the clock and two years warranty. I wanted something that can either carry a few people or, take out the middle seats and me and “Mrs O” can ride about with the dog and visit a few places. Didn’t want to cook where I sleep so the beach seemed like the van for me. A 150 seemed sufficient(a mate got a gutless 102 conversion and regretted it within weeks) and I thought bright yellow was a great colour (it’s a marmite thing I know, I read the haters thread....). New 17” alloys and tyres, privacy glass (black on yellow looks great) but no multifunction steering wheel so an upgrade is already on the horizon.
Plenty of room to stick an acoustic guitar in the back as well so, if you see a yellow beach with the sounds of a tune being murdered wafting out, it could be me....

Yep, I think it looks great with the privacy glass as well. I didn’t really need a van, I just wanted one but it had to tick a few boxes and the 7?seat beach fits the bill!

Insurance sorted today, cash transferred, train ticket to Norwich sorted.... Saturday pick up and the sun is going to shine.... perfect!
