Norwegian ‘Top Down’ method of lighting a wood burner

I thought I would just share this mornings experience. I have read about this method so decided to try it today. It works! I placed 4 pieces of medium size hardwood splits in a criss cross on the base of ash then a small pile of pine kindling in a similar way on top. Lastly I lit one match...

Well we took our 10 week old puppy Roxy to the pub today (in her travel crate, no second vacs yet) and she was so tired we had 2 hrs of non-stop silence from her! We had tired her out in the morning by sitting on a park bench in our local town watching the world go by. Bless!
