Feel Daft Posting This But Wooden Floor In My Ocean Is Peeling

went to france for 2 weeks and noticed my floor was starting to peel , it suddenly dawned on me that maybe there is a layer of protectant on it from new , has anyone else come across this ? i so hope so but before i start peeling it all away i just want to make sure it is indeed a layer you take off. Sorry if that sounds daft. Must just say it was a dream vehicle to drive in at 41 degrees , the air con is mindblowingly good and our journey was truly fab through the hottest days in history ! one other jaw dropper is the fridge, thats so good and again in supreme heat it kept everything ice cold , amazing!

When we collected ours the dealer had removed it from the living area but left under the seat and the boot area. Peeled it off when I got home. I can't find the post at the moment, but I recall another owner doing the same whilst we awaited delivery of ours. He shared some pictures if only I could locate the post

Our had a plastic layer on the floor. Let it on until it started to peel.
Don't worry.

If you leave it on, and tiny scratches are in it.
It’s a real b4ll ache to remove.
Pull that off and it looks even better !
