I just want to thank you all, as this post has saved a weekend of anxiety, expecting a large bill!
I was convinced I have a stripped cog / gears in the door / C pillar.
I have used a WD40 Dry PTFE lubricant spray (as this is what I had in the van) but if the situation returns I will use the grease suggested above.
Like Calimagg, I had no idea the pin rotated.
Fab Club (and shop), highly recommended to anybody out there who owns a Cali and isn't a member.(and reading this post! )
