Anything to save some deposit contributions. Nothing dubious about it. Just goes to show you should have a read at the t&c on offers. Dealers don't just give money away. The discount doesn't apply to cash deals so there must be some sort of incentive. Generally the manufacturer will push for a number, if that number is met a bonus will be paid, I it is exceeded it will grow proportionately. Hence why they can offer deposit contributions based on say march registrations. As buyers we want it all, but the truth is you cant have your cake and eat it. Has to be win win for both parties.I wouldn't be happy with that... Seems a dubious practice.
Up To is the key word there, across various vehicles across the range. Just forgo the deposit contributions and negotiate a better dealpps ... I'm getting mine from stoneybroke
There is always an offer, money off, better apr, free or subsidised servicing.slightly off topic; but whilst we are on the subject of expiring offers; today is 31/3/16 and it is the expiry date for existing VW Finance offers such as the £750 contribution, plus the 4 services for £179+vat. I was advised to at least get my finance application into the VW system today so I could still access the offer tomorrow. FWIW, I'll bet my last $ that the same or even better offers are available after 1st April but best to be on the safe side if you are concerned.
I spoke to VWCS about this back in February after they confirmed that I would be eligible for the loyalty discount (order placed end January). The lady I spoke to was adamant that only a delivery beyond May 16 caused by a customer change could risk losing the discount, and any post-May delivery due to VW's production schedule would not be an issue. Just what I was told anyway. To clear this up ring VWCS and ask them yourself.
I was DEFINITELY told NO delivery before May NO bonus.
