Hi, I don't own a Cali (yet) but hope to address this soon..
After years hiring motor homes for festivals and camping, I've decided I should buy a van. Can't decide between a Cali and T5 conversion though, can anyone make my mind up for me?
We have two kids, one of whom is disabled. I've looked into getting a new Cali wheelchair adapted, which makes it VAT exempt, so significantly cheaper. But I like the look of some of the conversions I've seen too and they'd be cheaper still. Any pointers welcome! :headbang

This question has been asked many times on here and there is only one answer .... Get a Cali! you will not regret it, but you may end up regretting it if you buy a conversion.

I had a conversion before the Cali and lost so much on it when i traded it in iI cried  you don't get that with a Cali :thumb

crucial thing is availability of the replacement parts of the camping equipment. I had a great fear, at the time when owning a T4 convertion, not to break anything, The model was no longer in production and anything broken would have to be just re-made by my own. In case of cali it is just a trip to any nearest service to buy anything you need. Great peace of mind, worth the extra money paid.

We started

Hi, it is each to their own, last year we decided to buy a camper van. We looked at a lot of other t5 vans what seemed cheaper when you started adding spec and power there was little in it. I also really liked the construction of the Cali kitchen units compared to other vans.

Like soon have said its each to his own really and if a conversion on a Cali would work better than a purpose built to your spec van for your needs ..I love my Cali ,but there's loads and loads of conversion companies out there and there are specialists in disabled conversions as well ... You may also find the sliding door of the Cali to be a pain for you being on the road side of the van ...
