Help Identifying object hanging from van underside

I hope I'm not missing something obvious, but is anyone able to identify this hanging object under my (T5.1 2011 140PS) Cali? Its hooked on via a spring and looks like it shouldn't be hanging there. Thanks!

I think it is the handbreak
It should look like this

Spring that helps pull back on the handbrake linkage as in above picture. The connecting screw on piece is only plastic from memory so perhaps it's thread has stripped.
