Help needed fitting solar panels

I have bought a Solar kit from Roger Donahue at Solar Camper Solutions but need help fitting an extra panel.

I live in North London. Does anyone know where I could take my van to have this fitted properly?

DIY, follow the comprehensive instructions supplied, it really is a doddle. Any decent local car electrician should be able to do this

I've taken it to a local car electrician who fitted it and it isn't working and he doesn't know why.

I have a 2019 Beach and I had the Solar pack with 1 panel fitted approx 3 years ago. I bought an extra panel a week or so ago and the local auto electrician tried to fit it but none of it works now.

Did you get the extra panel from Roger? I seem to recall when I got the extra panel the new one came with two tails, one to connect to the feed that heads off to the controller, the other to connect to the original panel

I've taken it to a local car electrician who fitted it and it isn't working and he doesn't know why.

Check it’s got voltage and also check the polarity isn’t reversed. It shows voltage if reversed polarity but it won’t pull amps.

Also, do the Battery leads need to be fully disconnected from the Victron controller when adding or removing panels or the “load” for at least 30secs (from memory) for the Victron to do a “hard reset” and then be able to fully manage all the new inputs and outputs.

Not sure if it will fix but a good troubleshooting start (if your electrician hasn’t already tried this)
