They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. In my case I just didn't have the cash for a new/nearly new cali beach at the time of purchase and I needed a vehicle immediately, so I went down the conversion route. However, knowing that I wanted something very close to a new T6 Beach I used that as the driver for my conversion work to date. So from a Highline Kombi to where I am today. An intermediate caravelle/multivan stage waiting on funds for an SCA 294 roof to complete the build. I give you my Volkswagen 'Traeth' (Welsh for 'beach')
Starting here with a T6 Highline Kombi

A few bits of chrome trim and replaced the stock H4s with Travellinglite LED DRL H7s with upgraded Philips LED bulbs so I can now see at night

Windows, Curtains, Caravelle 3 seat bench and caravelle floor and rail system installed

Eberspacher D2L new version of the classic diesel heater installed with the controller in the same spot as a Cali.

Split charger, 110A AGM battery and hookup under the bonnet so no need to cut holes in the side of the van

Seat swivels added to stock captains chairs to maintain height adjust. Good for me as I'm pretty short in the leg

Not shown is an Indel 41B fridge which I'm going to build a mounting plate for on the rails behind the driver's seat and there's a Multiflexboard mounted behind the bench which I'm trying to source a top pad cushion for as mine was supplied 2nd hand without one.
Hope you don't mind me lurking but there's so much of relevance here as well as the T6 Forum.
