Hi , when you hook up at home to charge the leasure battery do you have to also switch to hook up in the van for it to charge ? The hook up symbol only appears when I switch it on

Cheers

Do you mean the breaker switch in the cupboard?

Edit. Just noticed this is the T4 area so outside my comfort zone.

The switch outside the cupboard behind the drivers seat

If I understand your question correctly then, yes, the trip switch behind the drivers seat needs to be on (up) for the charging/mains icon to display.
Why would the trip switch be off, unless you have a fault? Just leave it up.

I think it was more to clear up weather the switch needed to be in the ‘up’ (or on) position for the battery to charge . I think I’ve made a school boy error , had a year old leasure battery that didn’t seem to charge on hook up , thought the battery was done so spent over £350 on a new one . My god that’s a lesson well learned ha

Hey guys I accidentally tripped the switch behind the drivers seat yesterday while connected to at home to charge the battery. But now it doesn't show the EHU icon on the screen and the switches are in the up position any ideas where to start?

How did you trip the switch?
Do you have a Mains socket in the van?
Is the socket working when plugged into EHU?
If not, check the fuse on your EHU plug that plugs into the house socket.

Thanks I flicked the trip switch behind the drivers seat as I thought it was to do with my webasto heater controller which isn't turning on. I'll check the fuse could it be anything in the van?

It could be but I don't know a lot about the T4 electrics. @sidepod is an expert.
But first, do you have mains power in the van when on EHU?

If your hook up is wired via a circuit breaker on the plug of the lead or a circuit breaker in the house fuse box it may be tripped during in unplugging and thus needs to be reset

Sometimes the circuit breaker switch can be up but the insides are still down, cycle the breaker off and on again to ensure the internal mechanism is engaged before spending a lot of time diagnosing a fault that may not be there

Still having issues with my EHU i think the breaker is faulty and going to look for a replacement. Sometimes the breaker won't stay up even either the EHU unplugged. Sometimes it seems to stay up but nothing working.
