As per my post some months ago I tried the interior monitoring on my t6.1 (MY21) as follows:
1: Whilst sitting in the van Double click on the keyfob. Wait a while and then move about - no alarm activated.
2. Whilst sitting in the van Single click on the keyfob. Wait a while and then move about - alarm activated.

Sorry I did not read your previous post, if I had I the solution was given.
We always press the remote 2 times "to be sure" but when only pressed 1 time after 2 or 3 minutes the interior alarm is set and the alarm is going off when getting something from the car.
