SOLUTION: new regulator arrived and i got big flames - yay! no idea why regulator gave up when cold but top tip for anyone with similar... remove regulator and blow gently thru it, should be no resistance and flow easily. My regulator was blocked solid. You should be able to blow all pipes with lung pressure, if not theres a blockage problem somewhere. Anyone for a cup of tea
