Is there such a thing as a rattle free California Ocean ??

Just fitted the plastic clips that replace the rubber stopper inside the later awnings. Wow its like driving a different vehicle, peace and quiet at last can not recommend them enough.

The shop should start stocking them.

Seem quite sturdy textured material, fold flat and wipe clean with zip in base so can fold flat for storage. Great for organising this drawer contents.

Hey Resfeber, followed your advise and covered the plate in your picture with heavy duty stick on Velcro, just used the thicker soft side. Wow what a difference we are now 95% rattle free! I was right thinking that’s where the majority of our rattles were coming from and you were spot on where to pay attention to. Picture attached, not sure how well you can see but used two bits of Velcro, a large one below the latch point and a smaller bit above. Just back from a weekend on Settle and have to say it’s never been so rattle free, love it.

Glad this helped. Most probably the latch was poorly setup/misaligned at manufacture, allowing the drawer/latch to “chatter” on this plate.
Onward with the quest to reduce Cali noises ( have just ordered the new awning springs

to replace the roll of 20 bin bags that I currently use to stop the rattle from the awning housing

only four months old and from day one driver's window rattles when open, have taken to only opening passenger side but it's annoying and will have it checked out soon ... we'll at the end of this year's trips !
