I've Seen One!

Last Saturday it was my turn to go and see and test drive one. Out of curiosity not looking to change my T6. So the cost to change wasn't even looked at.

I think it has a nice look and feel inside, well finished.
It's nice to drive, very modern dash and parking assistance.

As everyone has noticed, habitation is a few steps backwards from the T6.
For me the lack of storage under the bench and under the kitchen, not being able to attach a bike rack, and having only an outdoor table are serious drawbacks.
For the Mrs, the lack of a cabinet where to hide the thetford is a definite no-no.

I agree, that's the main downside for me.

You can add a bike rack to the towbar, which is my preference anyway. The 'outdoor table' is also an 'indoor table' - you just put two legs down rather than four, and attach the table toggle to the kitchen at the other end.

I played with the table and
- it's a hassle to have to go and get it from the boot, nowhere near the ease of the sliding one
- once positioned inside is unstable on 2 legs, needs the 3rd one which hinders the opening of the fridge

about the bike rack:
I undersand the advantages of a tow bar, when you actually have bikes, but the bike rack is more flexible
- I can drive with it folded to a place where I will pickup a bike.
- I also use it to put my dirty muddy deflatable kayak after having used it, I will wash it at home.

I want to take a look at a Nugget but I think that's a no-no because
- it's taller than 2m
- you can't use the kitchen with the roof down
- you can't use the kitchen and the fridge with the van full of luggage.

I hope my nearly 5 y.o. T6 will serve me for another 5-10 years...

and I forgot, I often use both tables in the T6 ... outdoor + sliding one as worktop.
The small movable one in the T6 is very nice and handy but ... small
