I have a small leak under the sink, obviously cracked fitting as you see in the photo. My question is, is this a push fit plumbing system or are they solvent welded? VW only part or can I pick it up elsewhere?

Hi, these are just push fit. Not sure if standard parts available or VW special.

Just an update on the above issue. As Chris says the pipes just push together friction fit with no seals. I just dropped the trap unit by undoing the screw in the middle of the sink this gave enough lateral movement to pull the pipe apart. I contacted my local VW dealer parts department who have been great so far. They sent me the attached drawing from which I picked elbow17. £3.08 they can have one tomorrow.PXL_20250428_141356583_Original.jpegPXL_20250428_141345481.MP_Original.jpegIMG_4291.jpegAny small leaks in the waste pipe system could well be solved by pushing parts together. There are so many Elbow17s on that diagram I ordered 2. Having a spare always guarantees you never need one

Just to finish this the unit was very difficult to put back in place so I took off all of the small connectors cleaned them up and sprayed with a little silicone lubricant. This allows you to properly connect them working downwards into the cupboard then twist the whole section upwards into place. You will also notice mine has two number 17 connectors between the pipe and the trap not one as in the diagram.
This is the part number for no 17
