I don't want to call insurance every time I need to park van somewhere. I think, Admiral has best price to conditions for me. I can add business miles, even parking at night at work and price remains the same. I will do quotes with my 2 friends as named drivers, so they can take it for weekends. Of course, Admiral has time limit on foreign travel, but it shouldn't be a problem this year.

I wouldn't worry about the 48 hr rule with Comfort. I had a discussion with them about it as we have wedding in Ireland in August and Cali will be parked outside for more than 48 hrs as we'll be sleeping in the castle. They said that's fine it's as long as it isn't left unattended out of site i.e. she said parked up at an airport or left at a roadside awaiting recovery on it's own. She said as long as it's visible it's ok hence it can be left on neighbours or friends drive as someone will see it's there. Even then a quick call to them and all is fine. It's just insurers don't like the idea of an expensive vehicle being left unattended for so long - why would you do that anyway!!!! I'm therefore happy with policy. I also didn't need to have tracker fitted as they accept T6.1 has a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm system from VW as standard

I want to treat it as a daily, so leaving it in different places will be standard occurrence, like hotel or airport car parks. I'm going to remove awning for winter, so it's not stolen when van is unattended.
I once left my car at Geneva airport for more than 2 weeks and took side trip to Asia, so I would like to keep my options open.

Yes. Mine is waiting at the port to be ferried across. (Status 38 I think they said).

I’m not getting much info from Breeze / Poole which is disappointing as I went there because of all the good feedback on here.
I had to call them last week when they gave me that update.
Hope they get it here soon - don’t want a 3-week port wait like others have had.

I chose them for the same reason but also got little communication. However, it's all forgotten now as I collected the Cali last week and couldn't be happier. They were very good on the handover.

During the handover at the dealership, I was amazed at how busy they were. One happy customer drove off in a Cali next to mine just as I arrived and I drove off an hour later and there was another one in its place ready to be collected.

I picked up my new Ocean from Breeze last week and took it camping at the weekend. Order to delivery was ~10 weeks and Jamie sent me video updates each time there was an update on the system. No complaints on the communication and I'm happy as I was expecting 12-14 weeks for delivery.

Is that an Ascot Grey with the sports pack? We went for the sports pack this time round on the ascot grey. I received a video from Jamie. It is built!

You can’t fault Jamie’s communication ..he’s a top bloke…we popped in at the weekend to introduce ourselves and the real version doesn’t disappoint either - well done Breeze + Poole, spot on for customer service so far

My California is in port in UK and is expected at dealership any day. They want to register it in June, which is perfect. I'm awaiting confirmation if it's going to be delivered or can be collected by myself. I would prefer second option, to check everything is in order and nothing is missing.

Great news!
Still no communication from Breeze for me.
I’m hoping our vans have been in the same transport, so I should be able to collect mine soon too.

I will probably collect/get it delivered from 1st of July onwards, because I'm too busy next week. I already sorted out extra parking space for one of my cars and now have all required information for insurance too. With private plate, I don't have to wait to get number plate from dealer.

Everything seems to be working out just in time. Parking space booked from 1st of July, work should be lighter from that week too and more time to travel and summers is supposedly arriving at last.

I ordered the beginning of April and was originally told it should be being built this week - but as yet not been able to confirm this with the dealer

I ordered in Edinburgh, they have been chasing it up with ‘Brand Support’ but nothing yet.

I wasn't sure whether it was the dealer or VW themselves failing to communicate but at least I don't feel alone now.

If they did they haven't told me - I'm guessing they'll be finishing production up until August when they will re-tool for the new one during the break

They are pushing them to dealers really quickly. You might be able to pick it up in a few days.
