Hi All

I am after some recommendations

After reading a number of helpful threads I have resided myself to the fact that my roof sensors on my T5 need replacing. It started with me having to press the button multiple times to get the roof to open, only for the roof to close in one go..I then following one of the threads, raised the roof to have a look at the sensors which looked like they were rusty....only this time the roof didn't come down. Thankfully, a bit of WD40 and after a bit of a wait meant that I could put my screwdriver away and the roof did come down again....but that is it I need new sensors.

Does anyone know any companies or dealerships that could help me. My concern is that my local 'VW California' specialist in Leicester, don't ever appear to be know too much about the vehicle (as I have had other issues) and if I take it there I may end up with a costly new roof... so I would be grateful if anyone has any contacts that could do this work for me....I did find a helpful thread about replacing the sensors...only I am a little bit practical and I am not brave enough to do it myself.

Thanks any suggestions would be grateful
Carl

On this - anyone know a company South East Based (Kent) that could assist with looking at our roof sensors. The open roof logo on the control panel has started flashing when driving (even though roof is fully closed) and the 'alarm' that comes on when driving with the roof open has come on a couple of times, albeit only for a short time. Guessing it might be a roof sensor issue.

I just recently Googled Auto Electricians and went with ones with a few 100 good Google reviews.
If you showed them instructions and bought the sensors yourself, it should be straightforward.
