So I am currently roughly planning our mega van holiday over the school holidays and am looking for some advice.

Currently we have the first 3 weeks sorted spending first night in a France at an aire on our way to a booked campsite near the Italian border in Switzerland for 2 nights then on to Tuscany for 2 weeks for my mums 70th with all the family, sadly not spending it in the van :sorry

Then on to visit my wife's Italian family 8hr South.

After this the real adventure begins I have booked a ferry with Jadrolinija from Bari to Dubrovnik.

With only just 13nights left to really enjoy the cali I am unsure how to spend the remaining precious time.

Croatia in August is going to be busy as hell so intending to book the only campsite in Dubrovnik but at €200 for 3 nights it's bloody steep.

Then want to head on up to Slovenia, Austria, Germany and home but feel with 2 young kids it's gonna be a push with only 10 days left.

Any tips would be muchly appreciated.

We did the drive from Dubrovnik to Slovenia with two boys ages 3 & 4 between 17 April and 10 May 2018.

North of Dubrovnik is a delightful town Korčula. We stayed on a wonderful campsite on the Pelješac peninsula just outside Orebić. https://www.nevio-camping.com/. From there we took a day trip by van to Dubrovnik, and the ferry + bicycles to Korčula.

Crossing by car ferry from Trpanj to Ploče to avoid insurance issues from driving in Bosnia, we then drove to Krk over two days along the coast road, stopping overnight only on a site in Starigrad (wild camping is not legal in Croatia). The coast road is far nicer than blasting up the very good motorway.

https://www.camping-adriatic.com/camping-krk-politin on Krk is excellent for young children and there is a delightful walk into the main town along the coast.

Have stayed in Bled on honeymoon, we decided to go somewhere different with the boys and chose Bohinjsko jezero staying at https://tdbohinj.si/kamp-danica/, with a pristine cycleway to the lake. It was a good choice.

I hope this can be of some help.
