Mid life crisis Cali Swamper!

Have you purchased the under body protection yet ? My next purchase probably from t5 upgrades

I’m planning to go to t5 later in the month, probably just doing the engine and gearbox initially.

Gloss Black 18” Wolfrace Assassin’s. Look similar to the Springfields on the sports pack to my eye. Got a good deal from Vanstyle but the 14 day quoted delivery time turned into two and half months for some reason. At least they haven’t billed me yet.

What tyres are you going for?

Anyone taken theirs down this route with the side bars, black bike rack, spare wheel etc? Looks like another potential money pit awaiting me at some stage :D

I was going for the rack and rear wheel mounted on it but I don’t like all the weight on the tailgate
I have a steel underneath with a 235/65/17 all terrain falken tyre it fits fine without any mods to the underside just needs air adding when needed
the rear ladder allows for wolf box storage on the roof and the ladder is great for a trasharoo which I use for wet kit and other things it’s proving a good setup still not cheap but nothing is.

I think I'll just do the 4 wheels and possibly the black bike rack for now as I need that anyway, possibly the side kit and recovery boards later in the year. Don't think I can justify the rest and would still give me a swamperish look overall :)

Swamperish probably works. I love the full look, but I can’t justify the £ just yet.

I’ve spent a fraction of that, about 1 1/3rd

Very similar to my set up. I have a trasheroo knock offs which is great for wet, smelly and muddy kit/rubbish. I have a 100w solar panel on the roof rack, I also keep my tyre table up there which still leaves room for 2 Wolf Packs now that I’ve put the recovery boards on the side.

PS I have a tyre table for sale anyone wants to complete their rugged outdoor set up?!

Just be mindful with the black bikerack re paint flake.

If I recall, annodised is the only way which requires a full dismantle etc with some bolts needing to be drilled out (and replaced). And ofcourse, bikes/dirt scratch, so expect any scratches to show up quickly through regular use.

Or be like us, and barely ever use it. All show, no go :D

I sold mine as I too was barely using it and I have a tow bar rack anyway. Mine didn’t chip but then I didn’t use it, crazy premium over the standard rack

The Hess stuff looks great, I need to do alot of overtime ;)

My mate had a smashed diff on a Audi TT large stone hit it so I would defo consider diff protection

I can get engine/gear box plus diff protection from Direct 4x4 for less that just the front plate from t5, same grade of aluminium. As much as I love t5 upgrades that’s hard to justify.

Are you going full underbody?
