Missing Torx Screws

On closer inspection of the elevating roof today I have noticed that 2 of the roof fixing screws are missing 1 at each side (rear) is this how it should be or is it another trip to vw.

Should be in there... at least are on mine (2009)

Have you had any roof work done recently?

My experience of the registered bodyshop and attention to detail has been a 3 month litany of disasters so it wouldn't surprise me if they were missed.

This is something I queried with VWCS after I got mine back from the roof repair (there was also a missing one on the top front mounting on one side).
The answer I had back was that for the rear it is correct that only one of the bolt holes is used.
Does seem strange that there is an available hole and thread but its not used. Possibly a bolt would prevent the scissor hinge closing completely.

Hello thanks

No roof work done van 18 month old
no signs of any markings on threads will give vw a ring after Easter to confirm if required or not to be fitted.
