My first MOT is due in April and whilst the servicing indicator isn't due for a while, I'm thinking it's better to get it in/checked before the warranty expires in case there are any nasties! What's the experience with this kind of off-piste servicing? Is it worth it?
Alternatively should I go to a specialist VW independent and perhaps get their take on things first (there is a very good one near me but they cannot undertake any VW warranty work, so it would be back to the dealer for any rectifications)
I say this as I've had indifferent experience from the nearest dealer to me + Bridgwater (and I see from this that others have too... http://vwcaliforniaclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5512&p=47915&hilit=bridgwater#p47915 "doesn't deal with Californias" They've never said that to me, but it explains why they've been a bit clueless with mine! :? )
Lastly, I could take the day off and travel down to Exeter, as Carrs seem to be bigger, but I've not had any experience of them or if they're more Cali-Friendly?
