Havant Council have made the overnight ban on motor homes at Hayling Beach car park permanent.

MOTORHOMES have been permanently banned from staying overnight at a Hayling Island beauty spot.

We have just been to the car park subject to this ban. About 3/4 of it was washed away by storm Ciara.

If you zoom right in you can see a payment machine and parking conditions board at the end of the destroyed section. Perhaps the overnight motor home ban is not so bad!

The picture is taken at high tide at the beginning of Storm Denis the Menace. Earlier in the day, at low tide, all was peaceful on the beach.
