Hi there, I am also in Ireland. We ordered our Coast in July 2021 and still waiting on any updateI’ve a Coast hopefully going into build next week (so of course, having last minute colour doubts if two-tone white/green is too OTT but if changing it affects date!) and ordered Oct 2021 .. last of the Coasts??
Stunning - looks tremendous with those wheels and I love bay leaf green. Nearly ordered that very scheme, then fell for the sports pack and Ascot grey. Still niggles a bit whether I made the right decision - but I think I just like them both as much despite them being at the opposite end of the statement scale!Ours should look something (exactly) like this...

Mine should look like that too when it arrives, apart from different wheels. Looking forward to finally getting it - hopefully some time in July.Ours should look something (exactly) like this...

Nothing has been more worrying, over my long wait, than colour choice.Stunning - looks tremendous with those wheels and I love bay leaf green. Agonised over the colour too, went for the Starlight for nostalgic reasons having never seen one - now it's here it does look amazing. Regards practicality - I'm coming from a black T5 with no working aircon, going to the Pyrenees most weeks over summer in 35-40C.... so anything will be an improvement!Nothing has been more worrying, over my long wait, than colour choice.
Having ordered Ascot grey, I changed within the allowed period to the "opposite end": starlight blue.
I went for Ascot grey first as it is a sensible choice for sun reflection and ease on the eye. But then I kept looking at my deep dark green Phaeton and thinking how well it looked when polished up, and switched to the equally dark starlight blue, notwithstanding the heat absorption I will now suffer in summer (but perhaps a small benefit on sunny winter days).
Like so many things, you get used to what you have. Also both colours, and all the other alternatives, look well to me so I wonder why I was so stressed by the decision!
We initially ordered the Bayleaf green Coast. Whilst waiting, we decided we loved the two tone green and white. My Hubbie is a ‘magnolia wood chip wall paper type of guy’ , but he is really excited about the colours - go for it !!Yes, hear you on this! It’s a once-in-a-lifetime buy for us (so we say today!) buts trying not to over-think it that it looks like a VW ice-cream van in the driveway!!
Picking up our Coast, in that combination on 31st May : )Ours should look something (exactly) like this...

Nice one.I think October 21 just before price increase. We were dealing with Ger I'm sure will hear about collection later this week. Ascot Grey Beach DSG/few bits and bobs extra (7k worth ) ...Yourself?
Strangely I haven't heard anything from FK apart from when they said the Cali was on the boat! Working during the week so will be next weekend at the earliest that I can get up...if its even ready then!Nice one.
We ordered a 150 ocean pretty much fully loaded. Tow bar and all the assists. Grey edition.
We are planning on collecting next Thursday.
Might see you up there
I was told our van is in the country and they expect to have it on their premises next Monday or Tuesday, a quick check over and will be ready for us to collect Thursday. Darryl said he will call me Monday to confirm as we are planning to take Thursday off work to collect.Strangely I haven't heard anything from FK apart from when they said the Cali was on the boat! We were offered Thursday collection next week, but both can’t make it, so waiting until after the weekend, so we can go togetherI was told our van is in the country and they expect to have it on their premises next Monday or Tuesday, a quick check over and will be ready for us to collect Thursday. Have ordered a Beach Camper in this colour and wheels. Ordered in Sept ‘21 and had an update from Heritage today to say that it’s in build as of last week (wk19) The end may be in sight….
Keep the side assist. It may save your life, or someone else's and that is worth a few months, at worst, wait. As an Oct order you're looking at a maybe September delivery anyway, August at best from current trends. We ordered end July, expecting mid July - so just under a year. Our Ocean ordered October has no status and we can choose whether to remove side assist. We had to chase the dealer and they had no idea that was even a thing until he went onto the VW hub whilst I was on the phone.
Unsure what to do, I don’t care about side assist but just a little concern about future resale. Also no idea how that may impact price increases.
Just followed the link and had a look at a few of them. They were all 110bhp and manual too!Slight change of subject.. keep In mind at the moment customers have a 12 month wait for a new California Ocean, I had a quick look into a Motorhome specialist today and it has “24” VW Transporters in stock. Shows the demand for Californias is still strong but the other end of the scale is flooded with stock. What is more tricky to get my head around is they are charging the same money for what my new California costs.
