We've a couple of friends we'd like to stay with, park and sleep on the drive. Both have sloping drives though. We've so far only parked on level sites. Would chocks solve the problem? How much of a slope do they cope with and which chocks are recommended? If they worked for this they'd get regular use as we could visit more often. We haven't bought any yet. Advice appreciated.

Leveling ramps come in different sizes but in general you only can level out about 10-15cm max . You could use even bigger metal ramps , like they got to work under cars and leave them with your friends house for use when visting them .
Take a look in the Club shop or any decent campershop .

If you can park sideways on the slope and put the two wedges on the same side (obviously!) then you will get extra lift than you do parking longways.

If only required at your friends you can make your own ramps from wooden planks/boards, simply start with one layer then add a slightly longer board to the bottom , to give a step for the wheel to drive up, wood glue the boards together. Repeat this process until you have achieved the correct level. Leave the ramps at your friends for future use.
