Thats the way it is Birty.
You have to give credit to the guy who had the balls to step up
in the Vw boardroom and suggest using a piece of hosepipe to solve
the hinge rattle.

Comes factory fitted .
BUT : yours in the picture are worn an need replacment .
The open side should be underneeth and thightend more.
