Pop top canvas repair help

Hi Ladies and Gents,
Any recommendations for the best way to repair the small holes in my pop top. See pics. How are the happening? Is it the way I’m pulling down the roof and folding in the canvas? I try to be careful.

There is a product called tear aid its self adhesive and works well , you apply it to bothe sides it's a clear tape .

Look at Matt BWs video about the isotop. He does a canvas repair at the beginning of it.
